If there is one thing that the internet universally adores, it is a picture of a cute dog. The internet phenomenon is even more mind-blowing, as it dates back to the very beginning of what we know today as the beginning of the internet.

It all began with a news letter back in 1984. Fidonews sent round its first ever news letter, edited and written by Tom Jennings, asking for writers, editors, and publishers to contribute to its weekly topics. In it, published as the newsletters logo, features the first internet doggo: Fido.
Tom asked all readers for “anything and everything… Ideas, problems, questions, tips, programs, hardware, etc etc are all welcome”.
Not only did Tom’s creative newsletter plant the seeds for cyberspace, it also planted in the love for dogs in the hearts of users worldwide…
